The Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) has asked controversial actor Thilakan to appear at its disciplinary committee meeting in Thiruvananthapuram on March 1. Thilakan should give an explanation on his allegation that a superstar was responsible for denying him work in a movie. He had alleged that the film industry was under the clutches of a mafia backed by lead actors. An association meeting in Kochi on Thursday decided to take action if Thilakan failed to appear before the panel. The committee consists of actors Innocent, Janardhanan, Kunchan, T.P. Madhavan and Edavela Babu. The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA), a combinnation of several trade unions in the industry, have also decided not to cooperate with the actor protesting against his allegations against the FEFKA leadership.
