Sonam all praise for Kangna

Sonam all praise for KangnaKangna Ranaut has found a new admirer in Bollywood. And the admirer is none other than the gorgeous actress Sonam Kapoor.

Apparently, Sonam Kapoor is highly impressed by Kangna's style statements. Sonam feels that no other bollywood actress can come anywhere close to Kangna's style.

Kangna, who comes from a small town, has evolved to become one of the most gorgeous actresses in B-Town today. So, if Sonam praises her for her style that is not without any reason after all.

While Kangna continues making her style statements, let's hope the actress keeps us entertained with her histrionics the way we have always been.

High Five For Kangna!

High Five For Kangna!

She's a pert 23, although Kangna Ranaut opines that she's 45 in her starry head! "Acting as a career makes you mature much before your time," states the national award winner ('Best Supporting Actress' for 'Fashion') in a newspaper chat.

KG opines to feeling more euphoric as famed numerologists have predicted a zoom in career, taking her several notches higher…from this year. "I've turned 23 and it totals up to number 5, which is my lucky number." she says.

Presently, KG's beaming over the ten flicks in her kitty, which include Hrithik Roshan's 'Kites', Abhishek Bachchan's 'Crooked', R. Madhavan's 'Tanu Weds Manu', Ajay Devgn's 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbai' and Akshaye Khanna's ' No Problem'.

Although she's raring to go on the professional front, Ranaut is regretful that her personal life is bereft of romance. "I'm currently single, but not ready to mingle," she asserts, "But someday I do plan to make place for a permanent relationship."

Until then , it's so low…solo.

Lara: Freeze For Ex Love

It's been a year since they've cooled off romantically. Post break up, ex flames Dino Morea and Lara Dutta performed at Nashik recently.

And close insiders swear, the vibes between the duo could easily freeze up the Arctic ocean. Not a single word was exchanged between the former love interests.

A reliable source states, "Both learnt that the other was performing a day before the event, and then it was too late to back out."

To avoid unpleasantness, Morea stayed put in his vanity van, except for the time when he was on stage. Dutta rushed out of the venue the minute she finished her acts.

Meawhile, matters have taken a new amourous turn with tabloid tattle peaking over Morea and Kangna Ranaut's passionate display at Sanjay Dutt's second anniversary.

Morea, meanwhile, has been explaining his bit to a certain Nandita Mahtani.

'Kites' director admits differences with producer Rakesh Roshan

Anurag Basu, director of the upcoming Hrithik Roshan-starrer 'Kites', has admitted for the first time there were differences with producer Rakesh Roshan.

'I wouldn't call them creative differences. Because we were both creating the same film and moving in the same direction. But yes, Rakeshji's vision of cinema is quite different from mine,' said Basu.

There were constant arguments between the producer and the director about how the film was to be shot.

'See, Rakeshji was not just the producer of 'Kites'. He's also a very big director with a vast experience as filmmaker behind him. He naturally had very strong opinions on how the film should be shot. It's all fine now. Over and done with. I just hope all the hard work is worth the effort,' he said.

The makers are planning to release 'Kites' that also stars Kangna Ranaut and Mexican actress Barbara Mori, May 21, but Basu says he has no inkling when the film is releasing.

'I'm just a technician on the film, just like the cinematographer or editor. I know as much as any one else who has worked on 'Kites'. But I've heard the film is being released on May 14 or May 21, I don't know which date it actually is. But I'm happy it's finally being released,' he said.

'Kites' was taken away from Basu and given to Hollywood director Brett Ratner for editing. Significantly, the director doesn't feature in any of the publicity and marketing of 'Kites'.

'I still maintain I had no creative differences with Rakesh Roshanji. When I didn't have any hesitation in walking out of my first directorial venture 'Kuch To Hai' when I had differences with my producer Ekta Kapoor why would I not do the same with 'Kites', if necessary, when I've proved myself as a director with 'Gangster' and 'Life...In A Metro'.'

Crooked Twist For Kangy

Crooked Twist For Kangy

She was the maiden choice, but the clash of dates made it difficult for Kangna Ranaut to accommodate 'Crooked' into her schedule. Presently though, the 22 year old has sashayed right back into the Ritesh Sidhwani Farhan Akhtar thriller.

Pak actress Soniya Jahan had signed up earlier, but had to opt out since she did not have the required work permit.

2010 is gonna be a super year for KG (the gal, not school standard!). A clutch of flicks illumining the small town girl from Manali, India, are likely to raise the bar for her: 'Kites', 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai', 'Tanu Weds Manu,' 'No Problem' and 'Knockout'.

Knockout talent, eh?

Chopra's High On National 'Fashion' !

Even as Katrina Kaif assenting to a drastic fee cut for 'Rajneeti' has been cajoling director Prakash Jha to doctor her role cannily keeping the National award in mind, an arch rival has beaten her to that win.

Priyanka Chopra is on cloud nine. Er, make that cloud nineteen! The charming Chopra asserts that she was pleasantly shocked when she was announced winner of the 'Best Actress' National award for her rivetting performance in 'Fashion'! The 56 th National awards committee has certainly gladdened her heart and a sleepless Chopra confesses in a newspaper chat, "I'm really excited. I was hoping but not really expecting it, as there were nominations from other regional films too and I was told that they were really good."

Incidentally, it took over six months of persuasive cajoling from director Madhur Bhandarkar, before she agreed to greenlight 'Fashion'. Says Priyanka, "I wasn't confident at all of playing the difficult role of Meghna Mathur and wanted to beg off, but Madhur was persistent. He was confident that I would be able to do full justice to it." Bravo Bhandarkar!

Ranaut Rings In National Biggie !

Ranaut Rings In National Biggie !

And this time around, she's turned successful at a national level! Ranaut will romp home with the National award for 'Best Actress in a Supporting Role' for her portrayal in 'Fashion.'

I don't blame Kangna for anything: Adhyayan Suman

kanganaranaut.jpg

Bollywood actor Adhyayan Suman believes in learning from the past and does not blame actress Kangna Ranaut, with whom he was in a relationship, for anything.

"I was too young, too immature and gullible. My parents and my friends warned me I was losing out on my career because of my relationship. Like any young besotted guy I couldn't see reason. I thought anyone who advised me against the relationship was my enemy. I was blinded by my passion. I don't blame Kangna for anything. It was a great learning experience for me. And I'm glad I went through it at the start of my career instead of later when I'd have much more to lose."

The young actor is now trying to rebuild his career. "I got a great break in 'Raaz'. Then decent reviews for 'Jashn'. The Bhatts gave me a great break. But unfortunately the marketing was not done properly."

Adhyayan admits he had to spend Rs.30 lakh from the family's pocket for the marketing and promotion of "Jashn". 'But I'll always be grateful to the Bhatts. I don't regret the Kangna episode either. I see them as important links in my growth as a human being and actor. I'm ready to start again."

Adhyayan is now playing the lead in Rani Mukherjee's brother Raja Mukherjee's film and also Telugu hotshot Sekhar Suri's film about how stars are exploited by politicians during election campaigns.

"It starts off as a story of a star who campaigns for a politician. Then when he realises he's being used by wrong elements the star stands for elections himself. I quite identify with the character's growth from smugness to selfconsciousness. I know I've been blind and I seemed arrogant in my attitude. All that has changed now," says Adhyayan.
