Santosh Sivan turns actor Ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan is reportedly all set to join the list of cinematographers turned actors. The Raavana cinematographer will play the lead role in an upcoming Malayalam film titled Makaramanju. The film narrates the events that took place when Raja Ravi Varma painted Urvashi-Pururavasu. Yesteryear heart-throb Radha’s daughter Karthika is the female lead. Meanwhile, the cinematographer has completed the much-awaited Mani Rathnam's Raavan/ Raavana, a bilingual which has Vikram plays the villain with Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai as lead pair in Hindi, while Vikram will play the lead opposite Aishwarya in Tamil. There are also reports that this internationally acclaimed cinematographer has shelved his upcoming directorial venture Ceylon based on the Sri Lankan crisis. vpost : 08
