She's 37 and has been diagnosed with stomach tuberculosis, making it difficult for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to conceive right away.
A pained Bachchan blogged about the "rich man's TB", dispelling the myth that tuberculosis only affects the less privileged.
A source close to the Bachchans avers, "Aishwarya's medication for her stomach TB is likely to hamper her pregnancy. Until the time she is really cured, she cannot risk the chance of having a baby."
Bachchan Senior, who is reportedly all sold on the idea (not Idea) of turning grandpa replied in a clipped tone, "When it happens, it will happen."
