Sonam Kapoor is learning lessons in time management these days. The actress is being given these tuitions free of cost by none other than her director Pankaj Kapoor, who will be directing her in the film MAUSAM.

The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in the lead. Recently, when Sonam Kapoor showed up late at the director's office, Pankaj Kapoor cancelled the proceedings of the day in order to teach Sonam the value of being on time.

Now, for all her meetings with the director, Sonam makes sure that she reaches the venue on time rather than face the wrath of her director who is so particular about time management.

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is the only Indian to have been nominated for the fourth Asian Film Awards.

The 24-year-old has been nominated in the best newcomer category for her role in 'Delhi-6', said a statement after the nominations were announced here Thursday. She will be competing with four contenders from China and Korea.

The award ceremony will take place here March 22.

Daughter of versatile actor Anil Kapoor, who made an international mark with his role in Oscar winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire', Sonam made her Bollywood debut in 2007 opposite Ranbir Kapoor in 'Saawariya'.

Thereafter she was seen alongside Abhishek Bachchan in 'Delhi-6', which didn't do well at the box office.

She was chubby, tubby, and weighed a staggering 90 kgs as a 16 year old. "The funny part," giggles Sonam Kapoor in a newspaper inter phew, "is that I was painfully skinny till age and my nickname at home was 'Giraffe'. At 16, I had an ovary disorder and gained 30 kgs! Besides, I also overate and became really fat."

Despite the daunting cellulite Sanjay Leela Bhansali spotted the star material in her. " He cast me when I was at my heaviest best," she admits .

It took a year and a half to knock off those ungainly kilos, but once done, Sonam Kapoor struck up a permanent date with her slimming regime.

SK works out at least five times a week, loves dance pilates and freestyle dancing, and also mixes up it up with yoga, cardio, biking and hiking. Besides, she's sworn off alcohol ( " it's high on calories" ) and believes in the fitness mantra, 'Early to bed, early to rise'.

Late nights of booze and frolic are a thing of the past, for her. Claims SK, " I think we've all crossed that age of partying hard and doing shots. I like to be in control. And trust me , I'm a happy person. I don't need the high."

High on histrionics will do nicely, thank you.
