Popular South Indian actress Sandhya had a lucky escape, a few days back but did sustain some injuries and burns while canning for a film. The actress was shooting for Three Kings, a Malayalam film at one of the famous shooting spots of Kerala where her bike hydroplaned.The actress said that it was a miraculous escape for her. While she is in physical pain, there is still good news for her. The latest film Traffic starring her and Sreenivasan is doing well in the box-office after being released last week.

The makers of the big movie 'Urumi' was planning to bring in Vidhya Balan or any big star from North for the launch of the much talked about audio of the movie. But somehow it didn't worked out as per schedules. With no further time to wait for the audio launch to happen, the media in Kerala has already started airing the songs.Television channels are now regularly showing the song 'Arane aarane' featuring Prithviraj, Prabhudeva, and Tabu shot at Malsej Ghat.The album which is currently available on stores have eight tracks and a theme music by Deepak Dev. One of the path breaking Malayalam movie of the year 'Traffic' will be soon remade in Tamil and Hindi. The first hit of the year, ‘Traffic’ will be directed in both the versions by Rajesh R Pillai, who has directed the original. The Hindi version that will have its cast lines finalised by April will be the one, that will arrive first.

"I like Mammootty so much and if I am to do a full length Malayalam film again, I would like to act with him," Dimple told media at the preview show of her debut Malayalam movie "Bombay Mittai".

In "Bombay Mittai", Kapadia has a small role and acts alongside former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.

"In this film, I had five scenes, out of which two were cut out, but nevertheless I enjoyed my time here in Kerala. I was so tensed when I got the offer to act in this Malayalam film. I had to do a lot of homework," said Dimple.

Academy award winner Resul Pookutty wanted to win a Nobel for India in physics, but ended up winning the coveted Oscar instead. Pookutty, who won the Oscar award for best sound designing for Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire", was speaking to the audience during a 'Masterclass' conducted on the sidelines of the 41st International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Saturday. "To be honest I wanted to be a physicist and win a Nobel for India, but I won an Oscar instead. I'm just as happy," Pookutty said. "I've always loved science and wanted to pursue my studies in physics. Eventually I took up a course in sound engineering. That's when I realised that this is so much more than engineering, and that this is what I love doing and this is what I want to do," he said. He said festivals like IFFI encouraged a filmmaker to further hone his skills. "Such film festivals have encouraged me and helped bring me up to where I am today. I'm thankful and happy to be in Goa at IFFI again," the master sound designer said".
