We've waited and waited, and now Apple and Verizon have made a million dreams come true: the iPhone is coming to Big Red. After talking up his new LTE network a bit, Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam confirmed a CDMA (non-LTE) version of the iPhone 4 is coming to Verizon Wireless next month. Talks started way back in 2008, and the phone has been in testing for a year -- it sounds like they wanted to get this one right. Current Verizon customers will be able to pre-order on Feburary 3rd for the standard $200 price for the 16GB model on a two year agreement, $300 for the 32GB version -- everyone else can order on February 10th (see it compared with AT&T's iPhone 4). Just to clarify and put any wild rumors to bed, the phone is Verizon 3G (EV-DO) only, no 4G data or GSM roaming. It's not a world phone or an AT&T + Verizon phone, it's just a Verizon phone.

The Android Honeycomb tablet is set to launch on Feburary 17 for $700, according to messages the big box store sent to its employees, though conflicting Verizon documents say the price will be $800.A table of minimum advertised prices posted at Android Central on Friday suggested the Xoom would be available for $800, a price that would remain valid until mid-July of this year. But on Saturday, a Best Buy employee tipped Engadget with internal missives that state the Xoom will be priced at $700 when it hit stores on February 17.

It is not every day that retrospectives are organised for actors, as the role of an actor in a film is not properly analysed here, said actor Nedumudi Venu on Friday during his commemorative lecture on Bharat Gopi at the valedictory session of 'Mayfest' Bharat Gopi retrospective film festival. Ahead of the valedictory session, the short film Kelkunnundo? directed by Geetu Mohandas was screened, followed by an interaction with the film-maker. The five-day festival was organised by Traya in association with C-Hed of Kochi Corporation and Kerala Chalachitra Academy at Town Hall in Kochi. A retrospective of eight Bharat Gopi films, including Yavanika, Kaattathe Kilikkoodu and Kodiyettam, was screened at the festival. Hindi film directors Mani Kaul and Anurag Kashyap, Tamil director Sasikumar and top Malayalam film actors spoke at the show on different days.

The actor, who was ousted from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) on grounds of indiscipline, will act in a meaty role in director Ali Akbar's next film Achen. Akbar told me that he has taken it as a challenge to cast me in his film. He said he does not care what the consequences are going to be. The shooting will commence next month, said the 74-year-old, while speaking to mediapersons after appearing before the Labour Commissioner in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. A khabroo from the sets informs, "This time it's Akhil Kumar-the boxer who lost the race, and he will bow out this week". Just like Daya Shetty failed to perform and saw himself in the Face-Off last week in Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, this week saw Shekhar Suman getting into Danger Zone after he lost the grip on his steps and stopped performing!! It was quite predictable that Shekhar would land himself in the Bottom Two, after the judges awarded him with very low marks. Dus Ka Dum 3 Shutdown For Indian Version Of The X Factor

Reality show Dus Ka Dum will not return for the third season, as confirmed by the show bosses. According to sources, the bosses of the show decided to put the season on back burner after Salman Khan who hosted season 1 & 2 opted out following the price issues. However, earlier it was reported that Bollywood icon Sanjay Dutt has been shortlisted to host the show but later the producers decided not go ahead without its lucky mascot Salman Khan. A source was quoted as saying, “After talks with Salman fell through, the channel had zeroed in on Sanjay Dutt as Salman’s replacement. But it was later decided that Salman would be more appropriate. In the meanwhile Salman committed himself to the next season of Bigg Boss.”
