Riteish Looks For Balance

Actor Riteish Deshmukh has by now managed to create a niche for himself in Bollywood. The actor who started out as a romantic actor but failed in his debut venture, has since gone on to become an actor of noted repute in the comic genre. The actor's sense of comic timing has made his presence crucial in most movies of that genre like 'Do Knot Disturb', 'Kya Kool Hai Hum', 'Maalamaal Weekly', 'Apna Sapna Money Money', 'Bluffmaster', 'Heyy Babyy' and 'De Taali'.

But the actor intends for the year 2010 to be slightly different. For one, having established himself as an actor of repute, he would now like to balance out his career and try his luck in other genres as well. The first in this category will be Ram Gopal Varma's 'Rann', in which the actor plays a journalist. He has a romantic role as well to look forward to in 'Kahaan Se Aayi Hai' which has him cast opposite 'Aladin' co star Jacqueline Fernandes. But after that, it will be back to his favourite comic genre with Sajid Khan's 'Housefull'. The actor will be sharing space with Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta and Jiah Khan among others. He is not in any hurry to go anyway. It is evident in the manner in which he has been signing films through the years. The actor has managed to befriend all the right people and is now looking to stretch the envelope.
