'Karthik Calling Karthik' , a romantic thriller story of an introvert

Bollywood's latest romantic thriller promises to keep the audiences on the edge of their seats. 'Karthik Calling Karthik' by Vijay Lalwani is a romantic thriller which revolves around an introvert, Karthik.

"Karthik Calling Karthik, is a romantic thriller. You can call it a romantic suspense as well and Karthik's character is that of a very normal person. But he has some emotional issues because of which he has become unconfident," said Farhan Akhtar, lead actor and one of the producers of 'Karthik Calling Karthik'.

Karthik is a very sad and frustrated individual who has lots of emotional issues. How his life changes when he starts getting calls from a person by the same name forms the premise of the film.

The film shows what these calls are all about and what's the price Karthik pays for these calls.

Actress Deepika Padukone plays the love interest of Karthik in the film.

"She (her character in the film) is like today's girl. She's confident, she's independent, she's focussed, she speaks her mind, she has fun when she goes out. Basically, she's the complete contrast to Karthik's character and I think that's how they get along. She's responsible for bringing him out of his shell," said Padukone.

The film is slated for a February 26 release. (ANI)
