Arshad: Maria has a very strong feeling about ISHQIYA

Maria Goretti, wife of Arshad Warsi, is seldom seen to be stepping out in appreciation of her husband's performance way before the release of his film. However, she did exactly that for ISHQIYA which she recently caught up. So impressed was she with the film that she pronto declared it as one of the best performances ever of her hubby.

"The other day I was talking to Maria that I had such good conviction about ISHQIYA and I really hope that it did well. She said that somehow for this film in particular, she was having this really strong feeling that I had done a very good job", narrates Arshad.

The man wasn't willing to be flattered though. After all in the past there have been a few films where he had performed really well but box office had a different story to tell. Cautious of this fact, he instead decided to lie low.

"I told her that it doesn't make any difference because what eventually matters is that a film should work. As an actor aap kuch bhi kar lo par agar film hi kharaab bani hai toh there is no fun. Yes, I don't have the faintest bit of doubt for ISHQIYA but I would rather wait for a mass of audience to come out and say that ISHQIYA and everyone associated with it was good", says Arshad.

With Naseeruddin Shah and Vidya Balan as the other principal protagonists, ISHQIYA releases all over on 29th January.
