'Karthik' Scores Top Note

Excel Entertainment has an excellent offering in the offing. 'Karthik Calling Karthik'. The flick which showcases Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone has already generated hot hype. And it geared up to sing a different tune too. Quite literally, considering that it was the music launch of the Gen Next movie (music T-Series) produced by Ritesh Sadhwani, penned and directed by Vijay Lalwani.

Shankar, Ehsaaan and Loy, who managed to bag acclaim with their catchy scores for the earlier Excel venture ' Dil Chahta Hain' are sanguine of having another winner on their hands.

Javed Akhtar, the trio of tunesmiths, Padukone and Farhan were present at the music launch which kicked off at a suburban multiplex. 'Karthik Calling Karthik' is a romantic thriller that tracks the goings on in the lives of a lovable loser Karthik, essayed by Farhan Akhtar, whose life changes with the help of someone who also claims to be...... Karthik!
