'Veer' Veers Into Trouble!

'Veer' Veers Into Trouble!

Salman Khan is on the write path. For the second time, no less. He wielded the pen for the premier time and turned story writer for his Sridevi starrer 'Chandramukhi'. Pity, the flick turned out to be a damp thud at the cine stakes. His next offering, 'Veer' up for a January 22 release, owes it's storyline and script to Khan, whose love for penning tales comes from his illustrious dad, Salim Khan, a formidable scriptwriter in his own right.
The actor is all gung ho about his release and producer Vijay Galani has spared no efforts, mounting his historical opus on a lavish scale, canning scenes at forts in Rajasthan with hordes of elephants, horses and milling crowds. Having spent a monumental sum on ensuring topline production values, tension is peaking. SK, with his trademark valour is assuming full responsibility for his movie's outcome. However, the film's length seems to be a point of contention between director Anil Sharma and him. Khan wants the film's length to be shortened, while the filmmakers refuse to accept his viewpoint. Since Khan is willing to stick his celeb neck out for 'Veer', it is only fair to assume that he has the film's best interest at heart. After all, he too has spent decades in the cine industry and has a pulse on audience tastes. Besides, the recent win of 'Wanted' has spurred Salman further and he isn't willing to take any risky chances.
Will 'Veer''s length be shortened as per what Khan 'Wanted'?
