Dhupia Hears Out DEEDS

The sound of silence was interrupted by the celeb presence of Neha Dhupia. However, some of those words fell on deaf ears. Quite literally. DEEDS (Development, Education, Empowerment of the Disadvantaged in Society), an NGO for the Hearing Impaired, held a quiz for its members attended by the media, with Dhupia donning the mantle of their new activist.

"The motto of DEEDS, 'Turning disabilities into abilities,' really struck a chord within me," states ND." I was so happy to see them clapping, laughing, playing the quiz and enjoying themselves. We are so blessed, yet we are always running after the trivial things of life They have made a big difference in my life, I hope to make one in their life too."

Adds she, "Today, I had in interpreter so I could understand what they were saying. But I want to learn the sign language, so that I can communicate with them better." Sound decision, Dhupia.
