Dhanush throws a success party!

Dhanush is on cloud nine, after Sun Pictures produced Mappillai has been declared a hit. Says a spokesperson of Sun Pictures: "The film which opened well is doing well on weekdays. There is no opposition and it will do even better in its second week due to holidays".

And after the super opening of the film, Dhanush threw a big surprise party for his close friends and the Mappillai unit. Those who attended the party included his family members, Suraaj, Vivek and close friends. A visibly happy Dhanush was thrilled and told sify.com: "I couldn't have asked for more. I dedicate the success of Maappillai to Rajini sir. It was not easy for me to remake his landmark film but by God's grace, it has been well-received by his fans"
