KitesTo Release On May 14, Finally

The Roshans would be relieved at having finally being able to set a date for the release of their film, 'Kites'. The film which has been produced by Rakesh Rohan and directed by Anurag Basu has been the centre of a lot of controversy following the leading man, Hrithik Roshan's infatuation with his co star Barbara Mori.

'Kites', which also stars Kangana Ranaut, will be up for release on May 14 now and this time it seems to be final. The film has been ready for release since the middle of last year. First there were reports of it being released on Diwali and then it was shifted to January 2010, then to April and finally it has been finalised for May 14. May seems to be a good month for the film's release as most schools and colleges are on a summer vacation during the months of May and June. Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Housefull', directed by Sajid Khan and starring Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone, is also set for a release on May 21 and Prakash Jha's 'Rajneeti' on May 28. This film stars Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif among others. Hence, 'Kites' will be in good company.
