Samayam - Movie Preview

Satheesh Pothuvaal, an associate of noted directors T.V. Chandran, Jayaraj and K.R. Mohanan, makes his directorial debut with Samayam, which takes us into the lives of a potters' community. It tells the story of a skilled potter Chathappan (Sreenivasan), who believes that his destiny is not to spend his entire lifetime making only pots and mud vessels. A skilled sculptor too, he believes that he should always aim at expressing himself through the many sculptures he can make.Chathappan has a family to look after, and when times change, as a family man he is faced with a lot of responsibilities. But Chathappan spends his time drinking, participating in cock-fights and loafing about. In fact, it is his wife Manikyam (Shwetha Menon) who takes on the burden of looking after the family.
