Hrithik, Barbara, Slap Happy Pair!

Reams of newsprint have been devoted to the Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori alliance. The onscreen chemistry is sizzling… to put it mildly, and director Anurag Basu avers that the off screen camaraderie was a lot playful too.

Citing a vignette on the sets of 'Kites', which elaborates his point, Basu states in a tabloid chat, "We were filming an important scene in which Barbara was supposed to slap Hrithik. I had okayed the first take, but Barbara insisted on a retake, and on slapping Hrithik again!"

Adds he, "We knew it was a prank, and agreed. But as soon as the camera rolled, Hrithik ducked and slapped Barbara!! That's when she realised that Hrithik had seen through her prank and the whole unit burst out laughing."

Quite smacking, eh?
