Shakti: Grand opening in Tamil Nadu and Kerala

Junior NTR's Shakti is reported to be the grandest movie ever to be made in Tollywood, with a record budget of Rs. 45 crores. Usually, Telugu movies are never short of being grandiose, but Shakti seems to break that benchmark, with some sets appearing only in a few scenes, being erected spending a couple of crores, and scenes being filmed across Africa and Europe. Shakti even outsourced its re-recording to Czechoslovakia, which clearly implied that producer Aswani Dutt prioritised quality over costs.
