IT raids at houses of Nagarjuna, Anushka

The Income Tax Department conducted raids at the residences and offices of several Telugu film personalities, especially the relatives of the actors, producers, directors and distributors linked to the family of Akkineni Nageswara Rao, his actor-son Nagarjuna, actor-grandson Naga Chaitanya and D. Shivaprasad Reddy.The official also raided actress Anuskha's flat at Woods Apartments in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The raid took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The premises of Annapurna Studio, owned by ANR and Nagarjuna, were also searched. This is the first major IT raid on the Telugu film industry after similar raids were conducted on mega star Chiranjeevi’s properties in 2003 before he entered politics.
