Mani-Rahman combo is back

Recently, a section of the media speculated that Mani Ratnam's next big project Ponniyin Selvan will have maestro Ilayaraaja as music director. But sources close to the production house revealed that the maverick director has signed A.R. Rahman. The Mani Ratnam-Rahman duo has never failed at the box office till date; from Roja to Raavanan, Rahman has always delivered the best for his mentor Mani Ratnam.
