Shiney Starrers Stonewalled; Vaishali Declines 'Shunya'…
Shiney's staring at a dull phase. Post the rape allegations centred around his house help, co stars have been shunning Ajuja like the proverbial plague.
His forthcoming flick 'Shunya' too has reached zero level, as regards its female lead.
Vaishali Desai, the grandniece of the late filmmaker Manmohan Desai, bid a hasty retreat from the casting scene when she learnt that Shiney had been signed up in place of the earlier choice: Adhyayan Suman.
Says Vaishali cautiously in a tabloid chat, "I don't want to comment on 'Shunya'. I left the film for very personal reasons and I really don't want to divulge the details."
Reportedly, Vaishali hinted to producer Puja Bedi, that she'd be expressly uncomfortable working with him, and that it would prove detrimental to her career to pair up with Ahuja at an early stage of her career (her debut 'Kal Kisne Dekha' didn't exactly set the cash registers ringing)
Earlier, co star Soha Ali Khan refused to can her scenes with Shiney Ahuja for the wrap up schedule of 'Ek Accident'. At her insistence, Soha's shots were filmed in Mumbai, while Shiney's shots for the same scene were canned in New Delhi.
Besides, Jahnu Barua's 'Har Pal' starring Preity Zinta and the actor too faces an uncertain future.
"The film's dubbing is over," states Barua in a periodical chat. "But the producers are hesitant to release 'Har Pal'. After what happened with Shiney, they are cautious."
