For writer-director Anees Bazmee, the super success of READY has resulted in him further re-establishing his position in the top bracket of commercial mass oriented filmmakers. His earlier superhits WELCOME and SINGH IS KINNG had collected 70 crores each in their entire lifetime run. At that time these were two of the hugest money spinners as 3 IDIOTS, GHAJINI, DABANGG, GOLMAAL 3 and RAAJNEETI - the Top-5 box office accumulators today - were yet to arrive. Now with the bumper run that READY is enjoying after netting 70 crores in one week flat, it has turned into Bazmee's biggest success till date.
