Parvathy Omanakuttan represented India at the 58th Miss World pageant and finished first runner up. At the pageant, Parvathy earlier won the Miss World 2008 Beach Beauty contest. She also stood second at the Miss World Top Model contest the same year. Even as Femina Miss India 2008, she won various accolades before being crowned the eventual Miss India World. She won sub-titles like Miss Photogenic, Miss Personality & Miss Beautiful Hair. As the first ever Pantaloons Femina Miss India South 2008, she gained direct entry into the top 10 finalists at the Femina Miss India contest. She was crowned as PFMIS 2008 by South Indian actress Ramya Krishnan.
