Arijit and his upcoming film ‘Phire Aasboi’
Dec 13, 2010 (CalcuttaTube): Arijit Chowdhury, a very common face on the Bengali television started his career with the TV show ‘Stopper’ and his first mega serial being ‘Mohini’, both aired on Doordarshan. Arijit debut film was ‘Nabarupa’ (1989) directed by Amal Ray Ghatak where he did a cameo. Since then he has appeared in a number of films like ‘Ami Je Ke Tomar’ by Prabir Nandi, ‘Rinmukti’ by Dinen Gupta, ‘Kalankini Badhu’ by Kalidas Mahalanabish, ‘Chor Bhagaban’ by Biplab Chatterjee, ‘Sudhu Tumi’ by Avijit Guha, Sudeshna Ray, ‘Prem’ by Tapan Banerjee.
The actor is acting in the Bengali play ‘Aandhare Ekela’ that will be staged at the LTG Auditorium, National School of Drama on Jan 10, 2011.
Arijit who completes 21 years of his acting career has also acted in telefilms like ‘Sandhan’ by Anindya Sarkar, ‘Noorbanu’ by Pranab Chowdhury that were telecast on E-TV, ‘Lajja’ by Manas Seth aired on Akash Bangla.
