One of the most accomplished actors of India, Malayalam superstar Mammootty, who debuted in Kannada with Love in 2005, is getting ready for his second Kannada film titled Shikari to be directed by Abhay Sinha. According to sources, the actor will play a double role: the first as a software techie and the second as a freedom fighter. The movie deals with the pre and post independence conditions in India. The story and screenplay are by the director himself. It is also heard that the director is trying to rope in Bollywood star Konkona Sen Sharma as the heroine. The shooting is expected to begin from the first week of May. Anmol Bhave will score the music, while Shrivatsa cranks the camera. The film is produced by veteran K. Manju. More details are awaited.

It'll be a melodious.. and memorable reunion. As per close sources, A R Rahman is gearing up to be a bigger 'Millionaire'. With Danny Boyle, that is. Reportedly, the duo are collaborating on their second opus … after the super duper winning trail of 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

Says an insider, "Rahman has been approached by a very big studio abroad for a big budget English film and most probably, he will be teaming up with Danny Boyle for this film which has quite an urban feel to it."

Earlier, Rahman had gushed in an assortment of inter phews stating, "I thank Danny Boyle for giving me such a great film like 'Slumdog Millionaire'. I'm looking forward to working on another movie with him soon."

Besides, it's being reported that the London Philharmonic Orchestra will team up with Rahman to strike some top drawer notes for the European leg of the 'Rahman World Tour' and will also team up to compose tunes for a few Hollywood ventures.
