A new production-distribution company is entering Mollywood in the name 'Kuttamath films'. The launch of the company was held in Ernakulam last week in a function attended by notable members of the film fraternity. Ace director Jayaraj's new film with Mammootty 'The train' will be the first flick to be distributed by Kuttamath films.The movie will be presented to theatres by the month of June. Kuttamath films has also announced their first movie as producers in the title 'Puthen Padam'. Kunchakko Boban will be hero of this movie which will be directed by debutante Fazal.

The new Prithviraj-Indrajith starrer 'City of God' was originally planned to be on theatres today. But somehow, the movie hasn't made into theatres, as per the earlier schedules. The producer of the movie is but reassuring that 'City of God' is all set to grace the theatres by this Friday. The avant-garde internationally acclaimed director Adoor Gopalakrishnan and his favourite actor Mammootty are together again after a gap of 17 years!
They are all set to do a film this year for which shooting will start in August.Adoor and Mammootty go a long way back. They have done outstanding films like Anantaram (1987), Mathilukal (1990), and Vidheyan (1993).

Gaddama, the Kamal-directed film with Kavya Madhavan as the central character, is ready for release on February 4.
