Bebo's Global Breaks

Bebo's Global Breaks

For the forthcoming five months, Kareena Kapoor is gonna give the proverbial bee a mighty complex. Reportedly, Bebo doesn't have a single night or day free for the mentioned time span!

KK will practically be living out of suitcases and globe trotting to complete filming assignments and endorsement commercials.

Bebo, though, has set aside important breaks despite the frantic pace of work. And she's doled out info guardedly about them in a tabloid chat.

August 16 ("it's Saif's 40th birthday; I'll be shooting for SRK's 'Ra.One' and will take his permission before I whisk Saif off for a holiday") and September 21 (Bebo's 30th b'day; Junior Nawab and she will be filming in Prague).

October to December 14 will have KK filming 'Heroine' for Madhur Bhandarkar, and thereafter from December 15 to Jan 11, 2011, Bebo will zoom off to her "Swiss chalet."

"What's the point in working so hard, if I can't get four vacations in a year?" KK asks. "In a different world capital, every year." Way to enjoyyyyyyyyyyyy, Bebo…

Bhandarkar Behind Unlucky Bebo !

Bhandarkar Behind Unlucky Bebo !

Twice unlucky……third time lucky? The question must be ringing aloud in Bebo babe's head. For the uninitiated, Madhur Bhandarkar had earmarked her earlier for 'Page 3' and 'Fashion' …. but Kareena Kapoor just couldn't manage to squeeze in the requisite dates to greenlight those projects.

And now, even as news of Priyanka Chopra's winning the National award ('Best Actress') makes waves, Bhandarkar has moved ahead … and this time around, he's yearning to work with… KK, yet again!

Reportedly, Bhandarkar has a realistic, gritty opus planned in mind, with Bebo essaying the protagonist. It was Kapoor's portrayal in 'Chameli' which seemed to have inspired the National award winning director to tip the scales in her favour. Spare some Saif dates, Bebo….

Miss India contest ropes in Bollywood heavyweights to groom winner

For aspiring actresses hoping to strike gold in Bollywood, winning a Miss India title is probably their best bet as the beauty pageant is now making it easier for contestants to achieve their dreams.

At a press conference here on Tuesday, organisers of the Femina Miss India pageant announced they have tied up with some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry to train the pageant winner for her big break in Bollywood.

The group of coaches include filmmakers Madhur Bhandarkar and Vipul Shah, choreographer Shiamak Dawar, along with veteran actor Anupam Kher, who has run an acting school for the last five years.

"For the last ten or twelve years, the girl who has won Miss India, Miss World or Miss Universe, her next destination has been the film industry," said Kher.

Both Shah and Bhandarkar announced that the winner would be cast in their next films, for which Kher and Dawar would train her in acting and dance.

Bhandarkar said the initiative will bring a focused element to the training process but it may not just be about the winner taking all.

"It depends on their talent. It's not necessarily the winner who is the most talented. If a contestant who hasn't won has the potential, then we'll still take her under our wings and prepare her," said Bhandarkar.

In the past several years, many beauty pageant winners joined the Indian film industry, with some of them achieving notable success
