RANN is up for release and it is quite visible that Amitabh Bachchan is dominating every moment that counts in the promos of RANN. However, director Ram Gopal Varma is clear that this was always meant to be the case. As per him, the veteran actor was always meant to spearhead the show because of being the senior most member of the cast as well as the towering personality that he boasts of.

As expected from every Ram Gopal Varma film, whether big or small, this one too boasts of some enticing promos that have caught the nation's attention. This was especially the need of the hour considering the fact that January is laden with close to half a dozen exciting films like VEER, CHANCE PE DANCE, DULHA MIL GAYA, PYAAR IMPOSSIBLE and ISHQIYA.

Despite the fact that one does catch a glimpse or two of other important characters played by cast which is principal/supporting or established/younger, ultimately it is Amitabh Bachchan who is clearly spearheading the entire 'show'.

"Isn't that obvious", questions back Ram Gopal Varma, "With the kind of personality and the stardom that he enjoys, it is but natural that Amitabh Bachchan would be spearheading the entire film."

If one goes by the film's synopsis, there are so many other characters like Sudeep, Riteish Deshmukh, Mohnish Behl, Paresh Rawal, Rajat Kapoor etc. who have been described to be quite important. What sort of space and time has Ramu managed to create for these characters?

"Every other character is important; otherwise it wouldn't have found a place in the film. There won't be any character that would feel short changed or left out in the film", assures Ramu.

Aamir Khan will be seen with Imran Khan in one of the home productions that will be directed by ace director Mansoor Khan. Mansoor, who had last directed Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai starrer JOSH has been living in recluse in the outskirts of Mumbai ever since.

Now, reports are that Mansoor is planning to make a film starring Aamir and Imran Khan. This will be after many years that the filmmaker will return to Bollywood.

According to sources, the film will be the remake of the hit classic YAADON KI BAARAT. The reclusive filmmaker has been persuaded by Aamir Khan to return to filmmaking. The movie with Aamir-Imran will commence as soon as Aamir finishes with his pending assignments.

Salman Khan - The 'Daan Veer' Bollywood Superstar and closet painter, we come to hear would take some time out on the sets of his forthcoming film VEER to settle down with canvas and brush to indulge in his passion - painting!

Reveals a source "After wrapping up a shot or sometimes even in between Salman bhai would just get inspired and rush to his canvas and paint. He has completed at least 4 -5 paintings"

We also are told that the paintings are so beautiful that Salman Khan is being encouraged to auction it for a good cause.

In fact Salman has even helped the art director of his forthcoming film paint bits and portions required on the sets - keeping true to his Daan Veer image.

Says Vijay Galani, producer of VEER, "Yes, I have watched Salman paint with his fingers and he has helped us a lot even in painting the sets of VEER. He's very fast and finishes them within a few hours."

Eros International and Vijay Galani's VEER - Salman's brainchild is all set to release January 22nd 2010.

So when Karan Johar requested her to sing on popular television show 'Lift Kara De', she promptly sang without much ado-'Jhumka gira re Bareilly ke bazaar mein'- the famous Sadhana number from the film MERA SAAYA.

But after the shot was canned, she was unhappy with her attempt and wanted to dub it!

Karan nonchalantly said: "Now you want to be Aamir Khan? And like Aamir you will come before anybody else to dub for it too!"

A new research has analyzed what are the things in the movie Avatar that comply with science and can exist in reality and what are the things that are implausible.

According to a report in Discovery News, one of the plausible stuff shown in the movie is the concept of moons that can host life.

Inhabitable moons are probably the most common place to find life in the Milky Way galaxy, simply because large moons outnumber planets by at least a factor of 10.

For example, Saturn's giant moon Titan could be the archetype of inhabitable moons. It is as geologically and meteorologically diverse as Earth.

Another likely concept shown in the film is that biological evolution on other habitable worlds can take a different road than Earth.

In Avatar, the biosphere of Pandora supports and extraterrestrial Serengeti of diverse creatures.

The respiratory systems of many of the species appear to operate differently from ours. Bioluminescence also plays a big role in communication among organisms.

Another plausible stuff shown in the movie is that the atmosphere on other habitable worlds might be breathable for organisms of that planet, but not for human beings.

In the flick, it's hard for humans to breath Pandora's atmosphere and they must wear filtering apparatus.
